The end of privacy

The motion microscope makes tiny movements visible – movements such as a crisp packet vibrating as sound waves from the speech in a room hit it. Michael Rubinstein and his team then realised that if they amplified the movements of a crisp packet when ‘hit’ by the sound waves from speech, then it would be possible to use the videod movements to translate them back into speech. The implications of this are disturbing.

Editor's Note: I went back to the point in the journal where Jenny attempted to add this plugin. She could have chosen video from the Factory plugin and then typed the plugin's id. Command/alt-i would remind her how.

TED michael_rubinstein_see_invisible...

She typed a longer link which should probably be recognized too, but isn't.

I forked the early version from Jenny's history and then used the short-cut of dragging the TED url from its tab and dropping it on the Factory.
