Is there some kind of diff tool to show multiple forks with changes highlighted?
Yes. Side by side comparison is built in. Hover highlights relate paragraphs to journal actions and vice versa. Hover also auto-scrolls copies in the lineup. All this is focused on tracking moves, something that chokes traditional diff.
